What we fit
Products and set-outs
Not every option suits every room. The subfloor, moisture conditions, underfloor heating and the manufacturer's own requirements must be checked before a product is confirmed.
Laminate click flooring
Hard-wearing and cost-effective, suited to most dry rooms with a level subfloor.
SPC / LVT click flooring
Dimensionally stable and water-resistant options for kitchens, halls and rentals.
Engineered wood — floating or glue-down
A real timber wear layer, floated over underlay or bonded to a prepared subfloor.
Solid timber flooring
Traditional solid boards, with acclimatisation and moisture conditions checked first.
Glue-down LVT
Fully bonded tiles or planks where a thin, stable build-up is required.
Layouts
Straight plank, diagonal, herringbone and chevron set-outs, planned around the room.
Preparation & finishing
The work under the floor decides the finish.
Removal of existing flooring
Carpet, laminate or tiles lifted and removed, with the subfloor swept and inspected.
Subfloor levelling and preparation
Light or heavy levelling, or a plywood overlay where the deck needs stiffening.
Underlay, moisture barriers and trims
The correct underlay, DPM where needed, and expansion allowances at every perimeter.
Skirting, scotia and door trimming
Clean perimeter details and doors eased to the finished floor height.

FAQ
Flooring questions
How accurate is the online estimate?
It is a budget range built from typical 2026 Irish rates and your own measurements. It is not a quotation. Verified measurements, subfloor condition, access and material choice can move the final figure in either direction.
Does the estimate include materials?
Only if you choose “Supply and fit”. In that case a material allowance is added, based on the order area including wastage. Fitting-only estimates cover labour, preparation and the extras you select.
Does herringbone cost more to install?
Yes. Herringbone and chevron take longer to set out and cut, so the estimator applies a labour factor of 1.30–1.50 for herringbone and 1.40–1.60 for chevron and other complex patterns.
How much extra material should I order?
The estimator adds 8% wastage for straight plank, 12% for diagonal and 15% for herringbone and chevron. Both the measured area and the order area including wastage are shown.
Can you install flooring that I already purchased?
Yes. Choose “Fitting only”. We will check the product, underlay and manufacturer requirements before fitting, and flag anything unsuitable for the subfloor or conditions.
Is floor levelling included?
Only when you select a levelling or plywood overlay option. If the subfloor condition is unknown, no levelling allowance is included and it is assessed on the site visit.
Does the estimate include VAT?
The headline range excludes VAT. VAT scenarios are shown separately: 13.5% for fitting work, and both 13.5% and 23% for supply-and-fit, because the materials proportion can change the treatment.
Can you price stairs online?
No. Stairs, borders, bespoke inlays, structural subfloor repairs and extensive moisture remediation are always priced after a site assessment.
Stairs, borders, structural repairs and highly irregular spaces require a site assessment and are not priced online.
